Darjaah Shopify Order Management App

Every Shopify Order in One Dashboard, the Moment It Is Placed

We designed and built Darjaah's embedded Shopify app. A merchant installs it on their store, signs in with their Darjaah account, and from then on every order Shopify creates, pays or updates arrives in the app automatically, ready to search, filter, export and open in full detail.

Project Overview

Store Orders That Flow In by Themselves

Darjaah runs a merchant hub, and its merchants sell on Shopify. Darjaah needed their store orders to flow into its own platform automatically instead of being copied out of the Shopify admin by hand.

The Darjaah app does exactly that. The merchant installs it from Shopify and signs in with their Darjaah account, which links the store to Darjaah's portal. From then on every new, paid or edited order is checked, logged and stored against the store, and merchants see revenue, order volume and average order value on a dashboard, work through their orders with search and filters, export them to CSV and open any order in full detail.

The Challenge

Shopify holds a merchant's orders in its own admin. For Darjaah to work with those orders, they had to leave Shopify reliably and stay current: an order that is paid, edited or fulfilled after it is created has to be updated, not left as a stale snapshot, and a delivery that Shopify sends twice must never become a duplicate.

Order data also carries customer names, contact details and addresses, so the app had to confirm that every incoming update really came from Shopify, keep the store connection protected, and meet Shopify's privacy requirements to pass app review. The priority was a connection that sets itself up once and then keeps every order in step with Shopify, behind a clean interface that lets the merchant find and act on any order quickly.

Solution Approach

How We Built It

A connection that sets itself up once, then keeps every order in step with Shopify.

01

Install and Connect in a Few Steps

Opening the app from Shopify starts the install. The merchant approves access on Shopify's own screen, then signs in, or signs up, with their Darjaah account. Once signed in, the app connects itself to the store's order updates, so nothing has to be configured by hand.

02

Orders Arrive as They Happen

Shopify notifies the app whenever an order is created, paid or updated. Every notification is checked to confirm it came from Shopify before anything is stored, and logged with its outcome. A later update overwrites the same order record, so a repeated delivery never creates a second copy.

03

A Dashboard Built for the Merchant

The dashboard shows total revenue, total orders and average order value for the connected store, a chart of daily orders over the last seven days and the most recent orders with their payment status. An Analytics tab adds a revenue view and a breakdown by status, and the interface switches between light and dark themes.

04

Find and Export Any Order

The Orders page lists every synced order with its amount, payment status and fulfilment status. Merchants search by order number or store, filter by payment status, narrow by date and price range, and export whatever is left on screen to CSV in one click.

05

Every Detail of an Order

Opening an order shows its number, date, store and total, its payment and fulfilment status, the customer's phone number and the shipping address, alongside the original order data from Shopify, which helps when a merchant or Darjaah's team needs to check exactly what was received.

06

Security and Shopify Compliance

Every update is verified before it is accepted, store connection credentials are encrypted at rest, and sensitive values are kept out of logs. Shopify's mandatory privacy requests are handled from day one, and uninstalling the app clears the store's sessions.

Key Takeaways

01

Orders reach Darjaah the moment Shopify creates, pays or updates them, with no export or copy step for the merchant.

02

Every incoming update is verified and logged, so each order can be traced back to the delivery that produced it.

03

One current record per order, even when Shopify sends the same update twice.

04

Merchants get revenue, order volume, search, filters, CSV export and full order detail in one embedded app.
